Definition RDFRG-02 · Definition 10

Legal Prohibition

A restriction on dog access to shared indoor guest areas arising from applicable law, regulation, food hygiene legislation, or licensing conditions in the jurisdiction where the accommodation operates. Where shared indoor access is prohibited by law, a provider can still meet the shared access certification requirement as long as the legal restriction is publicly disclosed and all other requirements are met.

Roch Interpretation

If the law in that country or city bans dogs from food service areas, the hotel does not fail R3 for complying with that law. But the restriction must be written into the published policy, not left for guests to discover at check in.
