Definition

The people who live together in one home, and any dog kept there, regardless of who is the tenant or owner.

Part of the Roch Dog Residence Standard (RDRS-01) · Published by Roch Dog

The people who live together in one home, and any dog kept there, regardless of which of them is the tenant or owner.

Roch Interpretation

The household is everyone under one roof and the dog they keep, not just the name on the lease. It is the unit a dog actually belongs to.

Examples

Compliant A couple, their child, and the family dog are treated as one household sharing the home.
Not compliant A policy refuses to recognise a dog as the household's because it is registered to the partner who is not named on the lease.
