Part of the Roch Dog Residence Standard (RDRS-01) · Published by Roch Dog

The standard's nature: a voluntary, openly published standard that anyone may read, adopt, design and operate a property to, cite, and teach, free of charge.

The standard is open; the certification mark is not. Roch remains the author and steward of the canonical text.

Roch Interpretation

The text is free for anyone to read, build to, cite, and teach. What is not free is the certification mark. Roch authors and stewards the canonical text.

Examples

Compliant A housing charity teaches the standard and a provider designs to it, both free of charge and without using the mark.
Not compliant A body republishes the standard as its own canonical text, ignoring Roch's stewardship of it.
