If a building charges monthly pet rent, it has to reflect a real cost, be told in advance, and stay within the law. Pet rent priced to deter owners does not pass.

Compliant
A modest monthly pet rent reflecting genuine cleaning costs, disclosed before signing.

A high monthly pet rent set with no link to any real cost, used to discourage dog owners.
